Support Local Businesses This Holiday Season

Chicago Personal Stylist

I hope you are able to spend some time shopping in local shops and boutiques this Holiday Season.  Shopping local keeps the money flowing through our communities, helps build the local economy and helps the community grow.   Usually, you will find that the shopping experience within a local shop is a more distinctive and personal.  There are such incredible boutiques with some of the nicest people running them!!   You never know what hidden gems you may find.  Take this blouse, for example,  it was a “shop local ” find from North Shore Exchange.

Mixing Giving Back With A Great Jeans Brand

Chicago Personal Stylist

Mixing giving back to feed those in need with a great brand (with the BEST jeans) is a match made in styling heaven!

Part of my mission in doing what I do as a stylist is to give back to our community. I love shopping at the local boutiques, volunteering at the soup kitchen with my husband, and helping out when I can.  So when the opportunity arises that I am able to style people while the money goes to a cause, I’m ALL in!

Join me at Madewell downtown, Tuesday the 21st, with my styling team!  Jenna, Lindsay, & I will be putting looks together, finding the best accessories for your outfits, and talking about what best fits your body.  A portion of the proceeds will go to Common Pantry, to help with providing on Thanksgiving.

No pressure to shop, but feel free to come on in and check out the store!  I would love, love to see you!!

When: November 21st 6-8pm

My Tips On Getting Ready For Date Night

Date nights are incredible and never seem to happen enough.  But when one arises, you want to be ready for it (and feel sassy as well!).

They always seem to sneak up or you try to fit it in quickly right after work. With the rush of it all, even if it’s on a weekend, it’s still tough to “just throw something on & add lipstick” …and still feel beautiful. Here is a quick run-down of ideas/my thoughts on how to feel fun and pulled together for the date nights with your partner (or your gals).

Great essentials for any style are:
A silk blouse  (white or patterned)
Jazzy earrings
Your favorite hair product that is travel size
Black sleeveless turtleneck
A pencil skirt (floral or black)
And of course Lipstick
A black suede booty

Look Beautiful And Put Together The Easy Way

No matter the time of year, dresses are just an easy way to have a “put together look” .

The only difference now is needing to put tights underneath to keep warm.

Use tights/ hose to your advantage to edge up the look or keep it sleek.

Wear a black dress with navy tights & black, or a brown dress with black tights & brown booties, (toss on a necklace or scarf if it feels right!).

If you’d like to just throw on a dress, these are great for a bootie, riding boot or great loafer.

Since the dresses are so bold, just toss on black tights & you’re good to go!

It’s all about getting dressed with ease!

Not Just Annie Style

This name first came about as a tagline stating  that “I don’t JUST style.”  The more I began to say and write it, the phrase began to stick.  I don’t JUST style. I work with individuals to create an all-around image.  I see each client as a blank canvas with their own style, own look, and own personality. I combine my styling and psychology backgrounds to help my clients feel great about themselves inside and out (of your closet).  My hope is that all my clients will exude confidence in the workplace, out on the town, or on a weekend getaway becausee of their wardrobe.
